An Injury Day Sunday

What a day, what a day! I had to be at work at 7 am, I am NOT a morning person at all! I was not awake when I got there. At 7:30 this morning, someone needed change, so I got it out of the safe. There is this large filing cabinet right next to the safe. Well, remember, I was half asleep, would NEVER in a million years have done this on purpose, believe me! Go to close the safe, and I normally don't close that door too gently, it's a door, I just close it like I do any door. I slammed the safe door into my left knee, and OMG! My knee was caught between the safe and the filing cabinet! I was certainly awake then! It was painful right when it happened, but after a couple of minutes, the pain started to fade to a burn, so I took some aspirin anyway, just in case. I worked for about 4 hours after that on that knee, with it constantly just swelling up. I had already told everyone at work what had happened. They all cringed.
Well, around 11:30, I was in so much pain, I had to sit for a little bit, so I had another manager take the floor so I could grab a quick bite of something. Well, it wasn't long before I had to get back up on the floor again! I couln't move very fast at all! That is not like me. If I can't move fast, something's wrong. Anyway, sometime during lunch, my SIL "T" came through the DT, and I told her what had happened, and she was like, "Now that wasn't too smart!" and laughed at me, but that's a typical response from any of the inlaws, she meant nothing by it. She knew I didn't do it on purpose.
Ok, the day goes on by, I'm scheduled off at 4. I had already left a message in the store manager's inbox about what had happened. By 2:30, I had to call her, b/c I wasn't for sure if I was gonna need it seen or not (I always lean more towards NOT if I can help it). So she got updated on everything through the day. I told her, "I'm gonna get my deposit done now, and get on out of here so I can go home and put ice on this." She said that was fine.
Ok, get home, get a hot bath, go lay down with an ice pack, it's starting to feel better. My SIL "A" shows up, and I filled her in on what happened. Well, I laid back down and was falling asleep before she left. Around 6:30, I woke up to hear David on the nextel with his younger sister. Apparently "T" had fallen either off the dock or the boat, and they think she may have broken her leg. This is NOT the 1st time "T" and I have had "similar" injuries (I just want to know which leg of hers it is) on the exact same day. Last time, we both got badly burned. I know mine was my right arm, I believe hers was her right arm, but can't be for sure. But, "T" always outdoes me on the injuries!
I sure hope she's doing to be ok! As much pain as I'm in, I'm sure she's in worse pain. I will definitely say a prayer for her!
My injury is gonna end up being a badly bruised knee. The ONLY way I will go see a doctor with it, is if I can't walk tomorrow. My knee is still swollen, but I have ice packs, and a bag of peas (compliments of my MIL) for it!
I will talk to yall later!

What an interesting day at work today!

We had a CO2 leak today, actually the tank is still leaking, but we opened up the backdoor and let most of it escape. The CO2 monitors started going off at one point and then the flashing light for the CO2 went off, so when the light flashes, that's not a good thing. I have a "tech" call into the company to fix it, hopefully they'll show up soon! And of course, as luck would have it, the small, backup tank ran out of CO2 about an hour after we hooked it up, so we had to switch back to the big tank.
Co2 is scary stuff! It'll kill you fast! It is a colorless and odorless gas and you won't even know you're "breathing it in".
Anyway, day is over! I have a headache from it! And I'm sleepy!
I will talk to ya later!

Lemonade

This should probably be taped to your bathroom mirror where one could read it
everyday. You may not realize it, but it's 100% true.
1. There are at least two people in this world that you would die for.
2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.
3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.
4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.
5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.
6. You mean the world to someone.
7. You are special and unique.
8. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.
9. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
10. When you think the world has turned its back on you take another look.
11. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.

Why?Why?Why?

Why, Why, Why?

Do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are going dead?

Why do banks charge a fee on "insufficient funds" when they know there is not enough money?

Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but check when you say the paint is wet?

Why do they use sterilized needles for death by lethal injection?

Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?

Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks whenyou throw a revolver at him?

Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

Whose idea was it to put an "S" in the word "lisp"?

If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?

Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white?

Is there ever a day that mattresses are not on sale?

Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?

Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?

Why is it that no plastic bag will open from the end on your first try?

How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures?

When we are in the supermarket and someone rams our ankle with a shopping cart then apologizes for doing so, why do we say, "It's all right?" Well, it isn't all right, so why don't we say, "That hurt, you stupid idiot?"

Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that's falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over?

In winter why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat?

How come you never hear father-in-law jokes?

And my FAVORITE......

The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four persons is suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best friends -- if they're okay, then it's you.

Why Parents Drink

The boss wondered why one of his most valued employees had phoned in sick one day. Having an urgent problem with one of the main computers, he dialed the employee's home phone number and was greeted with a child's whisper. ' Hello ? '
'Is your daddy home?' he asked.
' Yes ,' whispered the small voice.
May I talk with him?'
The child whispered, ' No .'
Surprised and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, 'Is your Mommy there?' ' Yes .'
'May I talk with her?' Again the small voice whispered, ' No .'
Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave a message, the boss asked, 'Is anybody else there?'
' Yes ,' whispered the child, ' a policeman '.
Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss asked, 'May I speak with the policeman?'
' No, he's busy ', whispered the child.
'Busy doing what?'
' Talking to Daddy and Mommy and the Fireman ,' came the whispered answer.
Growing more worried as he heard a loud noise in the background through the earpiece on the phone, the boss asked, 'What is that noise?'
' A helicopter ' answered the whispering voice.
'What is going on there?' demanded the boss, now truly apprehensive.
Again, whispering, the child answered, ' The search team just landed a helicopter .'
Alarmed, concerned and a little frustrated the boss asked, 'What are they searching for?'
Still whispering, the young voice replied with a muffled giggle... ' ME .'

I miss you, Mike!

My Uncle Mike (McLeod) died Dec. 9, 2007. He died of cancer. Cancer is such an enemy! Mike is the reason I did Relay for Life this year! He was only 49 yrs old when he died . Mike was the kind of person most of us call "good people"! He would do anything for anyone, would give the shirt off his back if you needed it.... he NEVER did anything to hurt anyone! He was a very good person! He did not deserve to have cancer strike him like it did! HE had a FULL life ahead of him, but cancer robbed him of his life. WHY? WHY?????? We will NEVER know the answer as to why, we just know, he was a GREAT person, made an awesome impact on many lives..... And God chose to take him at a young age for His own reasons! Doesn't mean I'll stop missing Mike, I will always miss him! But, God has a reason for everything!

Mike has really been on my mind a lot lately, but tonight I was looking thru Crystal's photo album on myspace (Crystal, being my Aunt Debra's DIL) and Aunt Deb (my daddy's sister, and Mike's wife) was looking very BEAUTIFUL and HAPPY in the pics! I know she knows Mike is in a better place now! I love my Aunt Debra so much! SHE is such a "trooper"........ she is an RN and she knows medically the agony Mike went through, yet she still carries a smile!

I love my Aunt Debra so much! And until the day I die, I will always love Mike, and know he will be in ALL OUR HEARTS!!!!!

The way I see it, we shall celebrate Mike's life everyday, not ever mourn it! He was an awesome person, and he is with God now! And his spirit is STILL in our every day lives!

By the way, there is a Relay for Life meeting on March 25 at (I believe) the Community Christian School...... they need committee members..... I am very WILLING to help them out! I sure Hope I make it to the right place at the right time!

God keeps working daily in my life! Mike is my reason for doing Relay this year.
Anyway!!!!

I will TTYL,

Priscilla

My Kids

I swear they both have an evil side to them. I just got brand new MK business cards in the other day, along with an inker and other things. Well, over half my business cards are now missing, and if the inker has any ink left in it, I will be amazed! They have until noon on Sunday to produce my missing business cards, or they will lose their tv, computer and x-box until they find my cards, or until they earn enough to replace them.
Anyway, let me get going for now. I just took a muscle relaxer (I didn’t realize rolling bales of hay across the McD’s parking lot.... don’t even ask, but yes we did it... would make me this sore, you wouldn't think one bale of hay would be so heavy) and I’m about to take about a 30 minute hot bath!
Later, Priscilla
PS... I wish we could post music on here....

Can't sleep....

It's like 1:25 AM, and I can't sleep! But, that's ok, I have to be at work at 4 am. I hate opening, though! Gotta love the food service industry! AS SOON AS I can get out of it, I will, and I won't go back!
Anyway, I hear my bathtub "calling" me right now for a hot bath! :-)
The pic posted below is of my 2 younger sisters, Becky and Melissa (the taller one), when they were pregnant! My Aunt Debra wanted a pic of them both pregnant at the same time! Don't they look adorable? SO glad it was them and not me!
If you look below this post, you'll see a pic of the babies!
See ya later!

Posting multiple pics?

So I'm trying to figure out how to post more than 1 pic on a blog! By the way, if you read my blog, you will learn I center EVERYTHING! Just how I am!
The gorgeous babies in the pics below are my gorgeous nieces Mayson (with lil specs of hair) and Eriyhanna (with the black hair)!
Little Miss Eriyhanna was born on Oct. 30, 2007, looking JUST like my son Aaron when he was a baby! And yes, Eriyhanna is a mixed baby! Her mama is white (my sister Becky) and her daddy is black! Long story on that one that I will NOT get into online!
Little Miss Mayson (her last name happens to be Dixon... yes they did that on purpose) was born on Nov. 20, 2007. She looks just like her mama (my sister Melissa) when she was a baby! Her daddy is Scott, who Melissa has been with since 2001, they NEVER have married, been living together for 7 years now (at least 7 years, I think they got together before 2001, I only met him at my Nana's funeral in July 2001, but they'd been together long since before she died) and now that they've been living together for so long, they are considered "Common Law".... not that it really exists anymore, BUT if they were to go to the courthouse, I can bet they can claim it, AND she can change her last name to Dixon!
I lived with David for 6 months before we got married. I moved in with him in Sept. 1995 and we got married (by a preacher... the preacher who baptised me.. the one that when I was a child I swore up and down he'd be the one who'd do my wedding, and he did...), well, we got married March 1, 1996!
I believe God has a reason for EVERYTHING!
I've been going to the "Cowboy Church", The Bullpit Outreach Ministries church services since early October of 2007. THIS is the 1st church service I've chosen to go to every week since I got married.
Anyway, I'm awake right now, have to be at work in 3 hours and after work, I'm sleeping!
I'll talk to yall soon!

This is a beautiful picture of Taylor playing in the leaves at my mama and daddy's house in Georgia!

My Kids

My kids are standing here watching me type! This is my day off from work! Taylor says, "I'm reading it!" I shall post embarrassing pics of them here soon! We just looked at Aunt Terrie's blog, that I happened to stumble upon the other day! Should I leave a comment and tell her I found her blog? Taylor says, "YES!"
So then it will be from my blog, but a hello from Taylor!
Anyway, just stopping in for today!

Hello

This is my first post here! Just stopping in and saying HEY!
